Be Intentional

This phrase has been my new normal, it's one of my daily affirmations. As I grow and evolve I try to remind myself of what it actually means to live intentionally. This is what is key to creating a life that allows you to breathe easy, enjoy every moment, continue to grow in love, and with grace.

To do something with intent means to do it on purpose and with purpose. Often times my life has been a bunch of built in responses some of which for a while I wasn't being responsible for. Let me give you an example to add more clarity. There was a while in my life I was just a victim, I would help people because I felt it was the right thing to do or tell myself I would want someone to treat me in the same way, but then later feel betrayed when that person acted ungrateful or ended up being a horrible friend. I wasn't holding myself accountable for first, helping someone with expectation {even if it was the expectation of them just being what I considered to be a good friend} and two, being mad that the results didn't go the way I felt they should go. This is an example of how I was just living life on automatic responses and not with intent. If you take the time to pay attention to your life many of us respond or live life unintentionally. We have programed ourselves to the rhythm of what societies standards are, or the trending response, or what we come from and we forget to develop intent within our daily lives. I haven't heard anyone tell children this since I was a child but I remember some of my older teachers saying "think before you speak" I don't think that was said to create a buffer or filter but check wether you are being intentional in what you say or are you just reacting for the sake of attention, or instant gratification? Intentional speaking is just one level, intentional living incorporates mindfulness into every facet of your life. This is what I'm currently working on, moving this practice in to every moment. I want to live my life on purpose and WITH PURPOSE, and that means being mindful with what I digest mind, body, and soul as well as what I regurgitate. This is not about perfection, this is about not making excuses for living your best life, not talking about being better but what it actually takes to evolve and live a more aware and abundant life. What I have implemented has already changed my life tremendously, should you decide to implement it your life please keep me updated with your progress. Peace, love, and abundance to you, I am so grateful to everyone who takes the time to read my post. Don't forget to subscribe.
